The Global Payroll Hub brings your payroll data into sharper focus within Workday. This integration enables you to gain a real-time understanding of where each of your payrolls stands in the processing cycle, based on the processing status within the Global Unity application. By bringing this into your tenant, the connection between Workday and Safeguard Global has never been more seamless. 

Why does it matter? Organizations view Workday not just as a system of record but as a system of engagement. The Global Payroll Hub fulfills this vision through APIs that deliver enhanced visibility into payroll processes, reducing the need to navigate between platforms and ensuring a cohesive experience within the familiar Workday ecosystem. As a result, the day-to-day work of global payroll managers is simplified for greater efficiency and less reliance on manual spreadsheets. 

Our new APD and EDI integrations take the complexity out of collecting essential local payroll data. Traditionally, country-specific payroll information not stored natively in Workday had to be collected from new employees manually. With this new integration, Safeguard Global can now automatically request this data from Workday administrators or new employees directly. This means no more spreadsheets for collecting and submitting that data. 

By automating the collection of additional payroll data, we eliminate the need for manual data entry and spreadsheets, reducing administrative burden and potential for errors for payroll and HR teams. Real-time data transfers over APIs ensure that your payroll information is always up-to-date and ready for processing. This integration also empowers employees to enter their own payroll data, freeing up HR and payroll teams to focus on more strategic tasks. 

Our Data Changes on Demand (DCOD) integration revolutionizes how payroll data is managed. Replacing the traditional ETL/ file-based integrations that have relied on scheduled batch data exports, DCOD introduces a REST API that allows Safeguard Global Pay to query specific data whenever it’s needed. 

Unlike batch data transfers, DCOD provides Safeguard Global Pay with access to real-time data, ensuring that payroll calculations are always based on the most current information. This integration reduces the need for scheduled exports and minimizes the risk of discrepancies, reducing maintenance activities for clients. It’s an easy-to-configure, flexible solution that works whether you’re managing payroll for ten employees or thousands. 

As part of our ongoing innovation, the External Payroll Results (ExPR) and the External Payslip and Documents integrations are transitioning to the Workday web service, which supports the Global Payroll Connect API. This move ensures a more robust, reliable approach to managing payroll data between Workday and Safeguard Global Pay and further removes the reliance on spreadsheets. 

This integration simplifies the communication of payroll results, payslips and tax statements, ensuring that this information is available more quickly for Workday clients and employees. By leveraging Workday’s advanced web service, we enhance the overall payroll experience for our joint customers, providing a solution that’s both reliable and scalable.
